BIOGRAPHY our story really begins two years ago. justyn and ryan created a short-lived and ambiguously named band. ill-fated, they called-off the project to allow ryan to complete his schooling. while apart, each continued to grow at a steady and musical pace. ryan’s reunion with his childhood friend, gary, proved most promising. their talents complimented each other and thus ryan started another band. but the duo’s disappointment in their lead singer led to another sharp demise. ryan then approached justyn, who converted a garage separate from his house into a bedroom/jam-room before he and gary had even heard one another. justyn devised a vocal pattern for a rough electronic four-track version of ‘in the middle of falling out.’ soundproofing completed, the band converged upon the jam-room and played together for the first time. when justyn’s final cry died out, signaling the end of their first song, gary leapt eagerly over his drums. snagging his foot on a cymbal, he gracefully ate shit into justyn’s acoustic-electric guitar lying seductively on the bed. the impact split the drummer’s eyebrow right open, ushering forth a cascade of fresh blood. before seeking medical attention, the band erupted into a slipknot cover while blood gratuitously gathered in gary’s eye like something out of a bad horror film. eight stitches later, fluid was born. since their conception in january of two thousand and three, the year of our lord, the band had been hounded about acquiring a bass player. several auditioned, but none could keep stride with the band’s often fevered pace and already full sound. then will took his turn. fluid’s search for a bass player ended. all equally impressed with his ability, the band welcomed their fourth and final member. this is fluid.
